What was your first job, and what did it teach you about leadership?
I had several jobs when I was young, including working in bars, a bakery, an elderly home, and delivering newspapers. My Dad taught me about leadership and female empowerment by encouraging me to work hard for what I wanted and make my own choices.
What is the quality that you most like in a person?
I value positivity above all else. A positive attitude can make a huge difference in any situation.
What traits do you most deplore in a person?
Holding back thoughts or feelings. Open communication is crucial in any partnership or relationship.
What do you consider your biggest achievement?
Without a doubt, my two kids.

Agility. Adaptability to new situations and environments is essential in today’s fast-paced world.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not at work?
I love to run and stay active. It helps me clear my mind and think more clearly. I also enjoy collecting art from different countries.
What is your favourite work time indulgence?
I love chatting over the coffee machine. It’s a great way to catch up with coworkers and build relationships.
What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
I once had a difficult boss who I found very challenging. I’d try to please my boss, but then when I flipped it around and focused on what made me happy and the well-being of my team, that made a huge difference.
Early riser or night owl?
I used to be a night owl, but now I’m an early riser. Living in Sri Lanka has changed my habits, and I now love rising before six and going for a run
