What was your first job, and what did it teach you about leadership?
My first job was working in a petrol station pumping gas. I don’t think it taught me much about leadership. But what it did teach me was how difficult it was to make money and how hard you had to work at it.
What’s the one thing you wish everyone could understand about innovation?
The thing about innovation is that you’re not going to get it 100% right 100% of the time. Your rate of success could be 1 in 10 or 2 in 10, so one needs to understand that.
What is the trait you most deplore in a client?
I would say…it’s probably arrogance.
The trait do you look for in new hires?
Honesty and integrity.
What’s the best professional advice you’ve ever received?
You don’t have to win every battle to win the war.
What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not at work?
Wildlife watching

Difficult one…but I think my Nissan Leaf right now is probably my favourite.

At school as a teenager.

I buy expensive pants.
