CEAT Kelani, a joint venture between Kelani Tyres of Sri Lanka and CEAT India, is investing to expand its domestic and export markets, including a possible entry into the US market. The firm operates three manufacturing plants, two in Kelaniya and one in Kalutara. Exports amount to 30% of annual production, reaching over 17 countries in South-East Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Its biggest export markets include the Philippines, Egypt, the UAE, Indonesia and India. CEAT sources all its rubber requirements locally.
