What was your first job, and what did it teach you about leadership?

I had several jobs when I was young, including working in bars, a bakery, an elderly home, and delivering newspapers. My Dad taught me about leadership and female empowerment by encouraging me to work hard for what I wanted and make my own choices.

What is the quality that you most like in a person?

I value positivity above all else. A positive attitude can make a huge difference in any situation.

What traits do you most deplore in a person?

Holding back thoughts or feelings. Open communication is crucial in any partnership or relationship.

What do you consider your biggest achievement?

Without a doubt, my two kids.

What is the one trait you look for in a new hire?

Agility. Adaptability to new situations and environments is essential in today’s fast-paced world.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life?

My Dad.

What’s the best professional advice you have received?

To follow my passion and do what I love. If you’re not happy with your job, it’s time to explore other opportunities.

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not at work?

I love to run and stay active. It helps me clear my mind and think more clearly. I also enjoy collecting art from different countries.

What is your favourite work time indulgence?

I love chatting over the coffee machine. It’s a great way to catch up with coworkers and build relationships.

What life lesson did you learn the hard way?

I once had a difficult boss who I found very challenging. I’d try to please my boss, but then when I flipped it around and focused on what made me happy and the well-being of my team, that made a huge difference.

Early riser or night owl?

I used to be a night owl, but now I’m an early riser. Living in Sri Lanka has changed my habits, and I now love rising before six and going for a run
