Axienta’s sales force automation software is deployed at over a dozen of Sri Lanka’s largest product distribution firms and is used by over 1,000 sales representatives. In industries like FMCG, pharmaceuticals and telco its helping firms manage sales and respond to market changes, in real time. Its ‘Vantage’ software is now being sold in a few markets overseas and a pending large deal involving a UK health industry player, where its software is being piloted to efficiently manage the time of healthcare professionals, could propel the firm in to the big league.
Manju Fernando believes they are on track to more than triple 2012 revenue to Rs200 million this year. The firm was set up in 2008 but was re-launched less than two years ago when market conditions had improved. Its sales automation software runs on an app on Android and iOS smartphones. Sales representatives update deals on the app which eliminate the paperwork they would otherwise have to do at the day’s end, freeing up more time for customer visits.
A founder and then shareholder of MillenniumIT, Manju Fernando thinks the firm’s next growth wave will come from deploying Vantage overseas. He has already signed up clients in the UK, US and Australia.
